The Role

Modern life science applications require intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user interfaces that make complex data and workflows accessible to users. This role focuses on designing and building scalable front-end - UI solutions that deliver seamless user experiences across a large scale cloud native platform products.

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong focus on Python, React.js/Next.js, cloud computing (preferably AWS). You will spearhead, develop, and integrate front-end components to create seamless, efficient solutions that advance life sciences. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with multinational teams, expanding your professional horizons.

This role is ideal for a senior engineer who can operate independently, take ownership of complex engineering initiatives, and make sound technical decisions in ambiguous, high-impact problem spaces. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable collaborating across disciplines and adapting to various time zones, particularly those in the US and EU, to facilitate effective collaboration with our international partners.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design and provide input on system architectures, contribute to coding standards, and mentor junior engineers.

  • Work with various teams to ensure software solutions meet business requirements, international standards, and objectives.

  • Tackle complex software development and integration challenges, optimizing system performance.

  • Create high-quality code and integrate diverse software components into cohesive solutions, with a focus on cloud computing and life sciences applications.

  • Keep up-to-date with new technologies and frameworks, particularly in cloud computing.

  • Oversee testing, deployment, ensure robust coding practices, solid unit and component testing, and effective code for high-quality software.

  • Actively participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle. This includes creating user stories and engaging in sprint planning to align development efforts with business objectives.

  • Engage with multinational companies, demonstrating flexibility to occasionally adapt to US and EU time zones.

Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 5+ years of experience in Software development.

  • Strong proficiency in Python, React.js/Next.js, or any other modern programming languages and their ecosystem.

  • In-depth and hand-ons experience with cloud services architecture (preferred AWS) or other cloud services. 

  • Strong Experience with Relational and NoSQL databases.

  • Experience in CICD Tools. Ability to design/maintain pipelines.

  • Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.

  • Experience in Unit/Integration testing.

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities for complex software development and integration issues.

  • Experience in mentoring less experienced engineers.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Professional Working Proficiency in English.

  • Willingness to adjust working hours occasionally to collaborate with colleagues in US and European time zones.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Distributed Computing system (Spark, pySpark)

  • Proven ability to write structured, well-documented, maintainable, and clean code

  • Experience with charting libraries (ECharts, D3, http://Deck.GL ) and building high-performance, interactive charts.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience in distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, PySpark).

  • Experience with NodeJS or Go is highly preferred, particularly for building APIs or integrating with cloud-based services.

  • Understanding authentication/authorization (OAuth2 / SAML).

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • We highly value experience in MLOps, ML infrastructure, and model training.
