THE ROLE

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of applications and distributed systems, specializing in one of three areas: (A) Data & Python, (B) Full-Stack Web Applications.

You will drive test automation, build robust testing solutions, identify quality risks, leverage modern AI development tools, and collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering and product teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, build, and maintain robust automated test suites across API, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.

  • Develop and enhance scalable test automation frameworks using Python, JavaScript/Node.js, or relevant technologies.

  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins.

  • Review code, identify quality risks early, improve test coverage, and promote quality engineering best practices.

  • Validate system functionality, data integrity, performance, and reliability across complex workflows.

  • Collaborate with Software Engineering, Data Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Product teams on test strategies, acceptance criteria, and release readiness.

Technical Specializations

(You will primarily focus on one of the following tracks based on your technical strengths and project needs)

Track A: Data Pipelines & Python SDKs

  • Design automated tests for Python SDKs, data pipelines, ETL workflows, and complex data transformations.

  • Validate data quality, numerical/statistical computations, and reliability across distributed data workflows.

Track B: Full-Stack & Web Applications

  • Build E2E and component-level automation for web applications using Cypress, Jest, React Testing Library, or similar.

  • Validate functionality and data integrity across UI, API, and database layers.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, Test Automation, SDET, or a related role.

  • Strong programming skills in Python OR JavaScript/Node.js.

  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as PyTest, Cypress, Jest, or similar.

  • Experience with AI code generation tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).

  • Experience with API, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.

  • Comfortable working with Unix-based systems, Docker, and CI/CD workflows.

  • Solid understanding of cloud environments, modern web/backend systems, or distributed data systems.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to quality, usability, and system reliability.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English.

NICE TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with AI agents or autonomous developer workflows.

  • Experience with React frontends, component testing, or Lake-house data architecture.

  • Performance testing at scale and Infrastructure-as-Code workflows.
