The Role
As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding the cloud platforms and engineering ecosystem that power innovative healthcare and life science solutions. This is a highly autonomous, hands-on position where you’ll partner with global engineering teams to strengthen security across applications, infrastructure, and development workflows.

What You’ll Do
Design, implement, and continuously improve security controls across modern cloud environments.
Strengthen the security of applications, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines by embedding security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Perform threat modeling, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend practical risk mitigation strategies.
Build and automate security workflows to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and reliability.
Own security operations by developing actionable reporting, dashboards, and scalable security processes.
Analyze security data, identify trends, and translate insights into meaningful improvements.
Document security risks, propose remediation plans, and present recommendations to stakeholders for review and approval.
Support incident response, vulnerability management, and ongoing security monitoring.
Collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams in an asynchronous working environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Security Engineering, Cloud Security, or DevSecOps.
Strong software development and scripting skills, preferably in Python or Node.js.
Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., GitHub), command-line tools, and modern development environments.
Hands-on experience securing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
Working knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
Solid understanding of OWASP Top 10, CVEs, secure software development practices, and security fundamentals.
Strong foundation in operating systems, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity while maintaining secure development practices.
Professional working proficiency in written English.
Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver results with minimal guidance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in SaaS, data platforms, healthcare, or life sciences.
Familiarity with AI/LLM security risks, governance, and mitigation strategies.
Experience with SIEM, security monitoring, detection and response, or related security tooling.
Proven track record of automating security operations, reporting, or engineering workflows.
