The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Full-Stack Engineer, AI Applications (Life Sciences) to spearhead, develop, and integrate software components, creating seamless and efficient solutions to improve life science. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with multinational companies, expanding your professional horizons. The ideal candidate will be comfortable adapting to various time zones, particularly those in the US and EU, occasionally to facilitate effective collaboration with our international partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership and System Design: Design and provide input on system architectures, contribute to coding standards, and mentor less experienced engineers.

• Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work with various teams to ensure software solutions meet business requirements, international standards, and objectives.

• Problem-Solving and Optimization: Tackle complex software development and integration challenges, optimizing system performance.

• Develop and Integrate Applications: Create high-quality code and integrate diverse software components into cohesive solutions, with a focus on cloud computing and life sciences applications.

• Continuous Learning and Improvement: Keep up-to-date with new technologies and Node.js frameworks, particularly in cloud computing.

• Testing, Deployment, and Documentation: Oversee testing, deployment, and comprehensive documentation of integrated systems.

• Agile Development: Actively participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle. This includes creating user stories and engaging in sprint planning to align development efforts with business objectives.

• Global Collaboration: Engage with multinational companies, demonstrating flexibility to lly adapt to US and EU time zones.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Experience: At least 6 years of professional experience in Software Engineering, and 3 years of experience in AI Applications. Strong experience in software integration, cloud computing.

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Technical Skills: 

  • Backend: Deep expertise in designing, building, and operating production-grade Python API services (e.g., FastAPI), including data modeling, performance, security, and observability.

  • AI / Data: Proven experience with vector databases and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, including embedding strategies, indexing, evaluation, and production deployment of generative AI systems.

  • Frontend: Strong expertise in React with TypeScript, building scalable, maintainable UI architectures.

  • DevOps: Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (GHA), including testing, linting, build, and deployment workflows.

• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities for complex software development and integration issues.

• Leadership, Communication, and Teamwork: Exemplary communication skills for effective cross-cultural and cross-time zone collaboration. Experience in mentoring less experienced engineers.

• Language Proficiency: Professional Working Proficiency in English.

• Project Management: Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Flexible working time: Ability to work with US and European timezones from time to time as needed.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience building user interfaces with Material UI (MUI) or similar modern React component libraries.

• Familiarity with genomics data analysis, particularly Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) or related large-scale biological datasets.

• Experience designing and operating systems on AWS, including core services, infrastructure patterns, and cost-aware architectures.

• Exposure to compliance and regulated environments in life sciences or healthcare software, such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or similar frameworks.
