The Role

We are seeking a Revenue Accountant to play a pivotal role in strengthening and scaling our accounting operations. Reporting directly to the Revenue Manager, you will be a critical contributor to our order-to-cash function- helping design, operate, and continuously improve revenue processes that support a fast-growing, global business at DataXight.

This role is ideal for an accountant who thrives in a collaborative environment, is comfortable working with cross-functional partners, and enjoys bringing structure and clarity to complex revenue workflows.

Key Responsibilities

As a Revenue Accountant, you will own and support core revenue recognition activities, including:

  • Drive revenue recognition processes in accordance with US GAAP ASC 606 / IFRS 15, including contract review, revenue allocation, and recognition

  • Review and analyze customer contracts, including multiple-element arrangements, to ensure proper revenue treatment

  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collections support, and revenue recording

  • Partner with Billing & Collections to resolve discrepancies and respond to customer inquiries promptly

  • Maintain accurate deferred revenue schedules with strong documentation and audit readiness

  • Oversee billing cycles and revenue-related adjustments

  • Perform monthly reconciliations of revenue accounts to the general ledger

  • Support month-end close activities related to revenue

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Operations to ensure usage data completeness and alignment between billing systems and the GL

  • Support audits and contribute to strengthening internal controls, policies, and documentation

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and implement scalable process improvements

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on revenue recognition

  • Solid understanding of GAAP / IFRS principles, particularly on revenue recognition under ASC 606 / IFRS 15 (or the equivalent local accounting framework that has converged with IFRS 15)

  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and strong Excel skills

  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and operate independently in a remote environment

  • Clear and professional communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
    Willingness to work in US Pacific Time hours from time to time to support global stakeholders as needed

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent international accounting certification

  • Big 4 public accounting background

  • SaaS, technology, or subscription-based business experience
