The Role

We’re looking for a Security Engineer to strengthen the security and reliability of our client’s cloud platforms and internal systems.

This is a high-autonomy role. You’ll take ownership of security engineering, operations, and reporting - driving improvements with minimal supervision and strong written communication.

What You’ll Do

  • Implement and improve security controls across major commercial cloud environments

  • Strengthen security across applications, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines

  • Perform threat modeling and vulnerability identification

  • Own security operations: reporting, dashboards, and process optimization

  • Automate workflows to improve efficiency and reliability

  • Analyze security data and translate insights into actionable improvements

  • Document risks, propose solutions, and present/track for approval

  • Support incident response and vulnerability management

  • Collaborate asynchronously with global teams

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years in Security Engineering, DevSecOps, or Cloud Security

  • Proficiency with cloud platforms and CI/CD environments

  • Hands-on knowledge of Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)

  • Understanding of OWASP Top 10, CVEs, and security fundamentals

  • Solid foundation in systems, networking, and security

  • Written English communication at the professional working proficiency level

  • Ability to work independently and deliver with minimal guidance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in scripting/coding development skills (Python or Node preferred)

  • Working knowledge of version control systems (e.g., GitHub), CLI tools, and modern development environments

  • Background in SaaS, data platform, or healthcare environments

  • Knowledge of AI/LLM security risks and mitigation strategies

  • Competency with AI tools for development

  • Exposure to security tooling, SIEM, or detection & response workflows

  • Track record in automating reporting or operational processes
