The Role
As a Senior Automation Quality Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring reliability and performance of our distributed systems. You’ll drive automation initiatives, design robust test frameworks, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with product management, software, DevOps, data engineering, and security teams to maintain world-class quality.
What You’ll Do
Lead test automation strategy and framework design for backend and cloud-based services.
Implement and maintain automated tests for functionality, scalability, and performance.
Drive continuous integration and deployment test practices (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
Collaborate with developers and DevOps to improve test reliability and coverage.
Review code and promote QA best practices across teams.
Identify quality risks early and proactively drive solutions.
Mentor and support junior QE engineers.
Ensure release compliance through test result reporting.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in software quality engineering or test automation.
Strong programming skills in Python (or similar).
Expertise in test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.
Solid understanding of AWS, Azure, or other cloud environments.
Comfortable working with Unix-based systems, containers (Docker), and data workflows.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English.
Nice to Have
Experience with data analytics or bioinformatics pipelines.
Knowledge of DevOps.
Experience with test data management and performance testing at scale.
Familiarity with containerization, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
