The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our digital transformation team. You’ll build and optimize data pipelines, develop robust data models, and deliver reliable analytics layers that power insights across the company. 

This position is based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Pipelines – Design, build, and maintain scalable pipelines using Airflow, DBT, Airbyte, and Python to move data reliably across systems.

  • Data Ingestion – Ingest structured and semi-structured data using tools like Airbyte and AWS services (S3, Lambda, EventBridge).

  • Modeling & BI Layer – Develop clean, scalable data models and maintain the BI data layer to support analytics and reporting.

  • Dashboards & Reporting – Create dashboards and reports (e.g., cloud spend, margins) using tools like Tableau, Superset, and Grafana.

  • Data Analysis – Explore and analyze data to uncover trends and support business decisions.

  • SQL & Querying – Write and optimize complex SQL queries for analytics, pipelines, and dashboards.

  • Data Validation – Ensure data quality and consistency across systems through validation and reconciliation.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration – Work with business teams to define KPIs and deliver data products that inform decisions.

  • Documentation – Maintain clear, thorough documentation for data flows, models, and processes

  • Tools & APIs – Build APIs and internal tools to make data accessible for downstream apps and analytics.

Required Skills

  • Python for ETL – Solid experience writing ETL workflows using Python.

  • SQL Mastery – Skilled in writing and optimizing complex queries (Postgres or Redshift preferred).

  • Data Modeling – Strong background in designing scalable, business-ready data models.

  • BI & Dashboards – Hands-on experience with tools like Tableau, Superset, or Grafana to create clear, insightful dashboards.

  • Analytical Storytelling – Able to translate complex datasets into visual insights that drive decisions.

  • AWS Cloud – Familiar with AWS services like S3, Redshift, Lambda, EventBridge, and others.

  • Airflow – Experience scheduling and monitoring pipelines using Apache Airflow.

  • Source Control – Use of Git/GitHub for version control and collaboration.

  • Communication – Comfortable working with technical and non-technical teams.

  • Leadership – 5+ years experience with a track record of mentoring or guiding others.

  • Education – Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Biomedical Experience: Experience in the biomedical field is highly desired

  • FAIR Knowledge: Knowledge of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) principles.
