The Role

We are seeking a Senior Bioinformatics Engineer to join our dedicated and diverse team, contributing to the design, development, and optimization of robust pipelines and tools to advance life sciences. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with multinational companies, expanding your professional horizons. The ideal candidate will be comfortable adapting occasionally to various time zones, particularly those in the US and EU, to facilitate effective collaboration with our international partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bioinformatics Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge bioinformatic data analysis pipelines and tools.

  • Biological Data Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of high-throughput biological data using statistical methods and machine learning techniques.

  • Data Integration and Insight Derivation: Evaluate and integrate diverse biological datasets to derive meaningful insights and hypotheses.

  • Team Mentor & Innovator: Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into efficient bioinformatic solutions.

  • Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies in bioinformatics and contribute to the continual improvement of processes and workflows.

  • Global Collaboration: Engage with international scientists, bioinformaticians, and software engineers to push the frontier of research, demonstrating flexibility to adjust to time differences in the US and EU as needed.

  • Problem-Solving and Optimization: Tackle complex bioinformatic challenges, optimizing work performance.

  • Leadership. Build and mentor a team of Bioinformatics engineer and scientist.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in Bioinformatic Science, Bioinformatics Engineering, software engineering, or biotech.

  • Leadership. Demonstrated leadership with the ability to build and nurture a team of bioinformatics engineers and scientists.

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioinformatic, Computer Science, Data Science, Biotechnology, Biology, or a related field. A PhD is a significant advantage.

  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Molecular Biology, BioStatistics, and Clinical Research.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in designing and developing data processing pipelines.

  • Methodologies: Skilled in R, Python, or other modern programming languages.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities for complicated issues.

  • Communication and Teamwork: Exemplary interpersonal skills and communication skills with people with different expertise, seniority, and cultural background.

  • Language Proficiency: Professional Working Proficiency in English.

  • Location: Able to work on-site at DataXight offices in district 2, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Experience in machine learning, model training, and data engineering is highly valued.
