The Role
We are seeking a skilled and self-driven Security & IT Specialist based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to join our global technology team. This role is pivotal in providing time-zone coverage during APAC business hours, supporting cross-functional teams in the United States and Czech Republic.
The ideal candidate will have experience in security incident response, systems administration, and IT support, and possess a high degree of autonomy and curiosity. You will be the bridge between global security operations and our APAC teams, ensuring continuity, responsiveness, and technical excellence in support services.
Key Responsibilities
Security Monitoring & Response: Respond to both automated and human-submitted security alerts using predefined playbooks; conduct triage and initiate escalation paths when needed.
Security Guidance & Documentation: Support local development teams by referencing internal security standards; escalate complex questions to senior security engineers as appropriate.
Access Management: Follow established processes to fulfill user access requests; guide users on self-service access methods and troubleshoot access-related issues.
Dashboards & Analysis: Create and maintain dashboards focused on code quality, vulnerability management, and incident response insights.
Operational Support: Monitor and assist with backlog tasks from US/CZ queues, improving responsiveness and throughput across global teams.
Laptop & Asset Management: Manage the inventory and deployment of laptops for the Vietnam office, including coordination of external repairs and hardware handoffs.
Onboarding & IT Readiness: Coordinate onboarding activities and ensure new hires have a smooth start with proper IT setups in place.
IT Issue Resolution: Act as the go-to support contact for urgent IT needs within the APAC region, minimizing disruptions to business operations.
Cloud Security Support: Contribute to cloud security efforts by evaluating cloud workloads and collaborating with infrastructure owners on remediation activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written) to communicate effectively with global teams.
Demonstrated experience in incident response and systems administration.
Solid understanding of security frameworks, risk management, and compliance protocols.
High degree of autonomy and self-awareness, with a passion for continuous learning.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently within the APAC timezone.
Proficiency in dashboarding tools and basic scripting to support data and security reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience supporting globally distributed technical teams.
Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) systems.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud security best practices.
Experience managing IT equipment inventory and coordinating with hardware vendors.
